We at Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL) are looking for case studies of businesses. Can you suggest some in the comments (or message me)? It needs to be businesses embodying regenerative & distributive enterprise design. This means things like co-ownership, mission-locks, stakeholders represented on boards, use of profits to invest into their purpose... all as a means to enable ambitious social & ecological strategies. We already know LOADS of cooperatives and smaller social enterprises that fit the bill. And most of the good examples are of smaller businesses generally. But we need to go broader than this. So we need more examples of: 🌳 businesses doing something pretty unique in terms of social & ecological impacts (e.g. product or service design, supply chain) 🐘 larger businesses (e.g. over €2m turnover) 🌍 geographically diverse (beyond UK & Western Europe) 🏢 enterprise design really being shaped to enable ambitious action (e.g. profit reinvestment unlocks new approach to manufacturing, product etc) These may come from across movements like #StewardOwnership, #SocialEnterprise, #BCorp, #EconomyforCommonGood, #SistemaB, #EmployeeOwnership, #FairTradeEnterprise #CommunityOwnership and innovative models emerging from #Coops, #SocialSolidarityEconomy and beyond - especially the fresher, bigger and emerging models from them! We will soon have a small team of researchers & writers to pull this together. But we want to channel their work at the most compelling and narrative-shifting examples. Do give us your suggestions of businesses to look at!

Regenerative and Distributive New Economy Design | Founder of Onarım Atölyesi and Doughnut Economics Türkiye Community #changemaker
